Level 3
Sonatina
By Timothy G. Cooper. An interesting and accessible piece for a young bassoonist. This piece contains passages which are lyrical and passages which are less legato so that the young player can work on both of these techniques. Although predominantly tonal, there is some Prokofiev-like shifting of keys intended to keep the young player thinking about intonation. Neither range nor tempi are extreme.
