Christopher M. Wicks
Christopher M. Wicks is organist and choir director at Disciples Christ Church in Salem, Oregon, and organist also at the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in the same city. He holds a Master’s in Music Composition from the University of Montreal, and also a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a Composition concentration from Marylhurst University in Marylhurst, Oregon. He has also studied at the Eastman School of Music with such teachers as Samuel Adler and Augusta Read Thomas. In 2003, his Violin Concerto was premiered by the Marylhurst Symphony Orchestra with soloist Dolores D’Aigle, of the Oregon Symphony.
